Board Members

Gustav Just

Welcome to Just Giving Back Charitable Organization! Hello and welcome! I’m Gustav Just, and I’m excited to be a Board Member of this fantastic organization where giving back isn’t just our mission—it’s our way of life. We’re here to support community needs by lending a hand to both organizations and individuals. Whether you’re a tot or a senior, we treat everyone like family (but don’t worry, we don’t make you do the dishes!).

Before swapping my hard hat for a volunteer’s cap, I spent 40 years managing construction, facilities, and safety in the Healthcare and Hospitality sectors. If I could manage the chaos of a construction site, I figured I could handle organizing charity events—and it turns out I was right! In retirement, I’ve kept busy with a variety of community efforts, including volunteering as a firefighter, coaching softball and basketball (where I’m famous for my motivational speeches and occasionally dramatic celebrations), and organizing charity golf outings. After all, who doesn’t enjoy mixing a little friendly competition with a great cause?

As a family-focused charity, we’re deeply grateful for your support. Your donations, no matter the size, help us make a real difference. From all of us at Just Giving Back, thank you for your contribution. Your generosity is appreciated more than a hole-in-one (and yes, I do love golf).

My journey from construction sites to charity events has been quite the adventure, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. My legacy is built on a foundation of service and humor, showing that while life can be serious, it’s always better when you can share a laugh while helping others. So let’s keep building a better community together—one good deed at a time!

Karen Holmes

Karen Winner Holmes was born in Pittsburgh, PA, where she navigated life as one of seven siblings. With so many siblings, Karen quickly learned the art of negotiation and the importance of sharing—skills that would later serve her well in both banking and the classroom.

Karen's professional adventure began at Mellon Bank, where she honed her skills as a loan processor. But her heart was always set on a different kind of balance—educational balance! In 2000, she decided to swap financial statements for lesson plans and pursued a degree in Early Childhood Education. Her move to Tampa in 2004 marked the start of a 14-year teaching marathon in Title 1 schools, where she taught, tutored, and occasionally refereed playground disputes.

Karen's life is a masterpiece of connection, creativity, and community service, painted with a generous brush of humor and kindness. Whether she’s organizing a school event or telling a grandchild’s bedtime story, Karen brings a dash of fun and a lot of heart. In retirement, she continues to be an active community contributor, proving that you can take the teacher out of the classroom, but you can't take the classroom out of the teacher!

Karen and David Holmes have four children and six grandchildren, who keep their lives as lively as a classroom on a sugar high. Despite the chaos, Karen and Dave manage to enjoy the adventure of family life, often finding themselves in situations that are equal parts heartwarming and hilariously unpredictable.

Karen Winner Holmes’ career and community contributions are marked by her dedication and her knack for making serious work seem just a little less serious. Her legacy is one of compassion, creativity, and a sprinkle of humor, proving that making a difference can be as joyful as it is impactful.

Sean Winner

Welcome to Just Giving Back Charitable Organization! Hello and welcome! I’m Sean Winner, and I’m thrilled to be part of this remarkable organization where giving back isn’t just a mission—it’s a way of life.

I’m a tax attorney by trade, but don’t let the title fool you—I’ve always believed that helping others brings good things into your own life. Making society better isn’t just about talking the talk; it’s about walking the walk. I’ve been happily married for 28 years and have two wonderful children who keep life both interesting and fulfilling.

I’m here because my mom, Karen Holmes (who is also a Board Member), might have given me a gentle nudge to get involved—just kidding!

As a family-focused charity, we’re incredibly grateful for your support. Your donations, no matter the size, make a meaningful impact. Sometimes it’s the small things that make the biggest difference in someone’s life.

My legacy is grounded in the belief that making society better starts with individual actions. So let’s keep building a better community together—one good deed at a time! And yes, Mom, I’m here because you encouraged me, but I’m staying because it’s the right thing to do.
